EVERYONE IS NOT YOUR CUSTOMER
Who is your target audience?
If you answered ‘everyone’ or ‘we cater to a wide audience’ you need to rethink your response. If you target everyone, you’re really targeting no one.
Targeted advertisements are on average almost twice as effective as non-targeted ads.
Why is this I hear you ask?
Let’s use an example. Most people assume if you cast a wide net when fishing you will catch more fish, however an experienced fisherman doesn’t necessarily need a wide net. They plan ahead and use their knowledge to be in the right place, at the right time and deploy their nets to catch a particular type of fish at the peak time.
Targeted marketing is the same principle.
If you know who your targeting, where to find them and why they would want your product you can tailor your message to suit them and save time & money.
