In Australia, over 30,000 dogs enter shelters every year. Of these, 4,000 are euthanised. To assist Pet Rescue in combating this problem we created the ‘Lonely Paws Walk’ campaign; a dog walking event and festival.

LONELY PAWS WALK EVENT APP

UX Design & Event planning including brand identity & UX app design. 

In Australia, over 30,000 dogs enter shelters every year. Of these, 4,000 are euthanised. To assist Pet Rescue in combating this problem we created the ‘Lonely Paws Walk’ campaign; a dog walking event and festival.

Lonely Paws Walk App

The app was created to be used by participants of the event and was designed using UX design principles to ensure it would be easy to use for anyone over 10 years of age.

Lonely Paws Walk Logo

The colour palette was sampled from the existing Pet Rescue logo and a gradient was added to give it depth and allow for differentiation from the pet rescue site.

A range of merchandise was also created to be sold at the event and given out as gifts to participants.

The event logo was designed to appeal to adults and children with a playful visual look and the images showcased in the campaign are real life rescue animals.

The app consists of five simple and easy to navigate pages. Each page is reprsented by an easily identifiable icon. User experience testing was done to ensure the navigation and icons suited the young audience of the app.
